College Application Process

Determine how you plan to apply:  online, college/university Web page, Coalition Application, or Common Application.

  1. Complete applications thoroughly.
    • Before submitting applications via mail or online, make sure all sections are completed and proofread all essays.
    • If submitting applications online, compile and submit all remaining materials and information (application fee, resume/activity sheet, supplemental application, etc.) to the office of admissions.
    • Note: Colleges that use the Common Application often require a supplement.
  2. Submit all required test scores. www.collegeboard.com or www.actstudent.org.
  3. Complete a Transcript Request (available in the document library on Naviance). ND will send an official transcript, school report, teacher recommendations, and school profile electronically to the college or university requested.

IMPORTANT NOTE: PLEASE BE AWARE OF DEADLINES AND ALLOW THREE WEEKS FOR PROCESSING. IT IS IMPORTANT TO ADHERE TO THESE DEADLINES.

Mid-year grade reports will automatically be sent to all colleges and universities that require the Common Application .  All optional grade reports must be requested through the College Counseling Office.

If a college or university requires an additional grade report, it is your responsibility to contact the counseling office.
