Applying to Notre Dame

The Academy welcomes applications from young women with diverse backgrounds and talents who seek:

Our process allows you to complete your application form and review it as many times as you wish before submitting it.

Log in to your Admissions Portal account to work on your application, track and save your progress, and see which of the required grade-specific documents have been received.

Apply to Middle School: Grades 6-8

Entrance Exam (required)

Notre Dame administers the Educational Development Series (EDseries) from Scholastic Testing Series, Inc. Applicants may take this exam October 21, 2018. Log in to the Admissions Portal to choose an exam date and register for the test.

A student applying for middle school after our Entrance Exam dates have passed should take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) which is administered locally.

The application deadline is November 16, 2018 for middle school applicants. A completed application requires the submission of the following items:

  1. Completed Application for Admission
  2. Copy of student's current report card
  3. Student Activities & Interests Questionnaire
  4. Release-of-Records Form (submit to your current school)
  5. Math Teacher Recommendation
  6. English Teacher Recommendation

Additionally, any supplemental letters of recommendation may be uploaded directly to the candidate's profile (there is no standardized format).

Families are able to track their application status via the Admissions Portal

Apply as a Transfer Student: All Grades

Standardized Testing (required)

Notre Dame requires current standardized testing for all applicants.

Transfer applicants to the middle school should the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) which is administered locally.
Transfer applicants to the high school may take either the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) or the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT).

Scholarships & Financial Aid

Notre Dame offers a variety of scholarship opportunities for qualified students. All applicants are considered for merit-based, partial academic scholarships and are notified at the time of admission of any award. Each applicant's academic performance, recommendations, and results from the Entrance Exam will be considered.

Parents interested in applying for need-based financial aid should do so as soon as possible following their Application for Admission. Learn more and apply for financial aid here.

Late Applicants

Applications received after our stated deadlines for all grades will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Once all requirements are met, families should expect to receive an admissions decision within 2-3 weeks of the application completion date.

Families interested in applying for financial assistance after the deadline should submit a Parents' Financial Statement as soon as possible following their Application for Admission. Completed financial aid applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis by our Financial Aid Committee, and all efforts will be made to award funds to qualifying families at the time of admission.

Please note that after our stated deadlines, all admission and financial aid decisions will be based upon availability of space and funds.
