Step 1: Inquire
Want to know more about Notre Dame? Fill out our Inquiry Form and create your account as the first step to letting us know of your interest. You will be kept up-to-date with ND news and get connected with your personal admissions representative. If you are planning on attending an event on campus, the Inquiry Form will need to be submitted beforehand.

Step 2: Visit
Interested families should plan at least one visit to Notre Dame as part of the admissions process. You may schedule a "shadow visit," or simply request a tour and/or a meeting with your admissions representative.
- "Shadow Days" are designed specifically for your child to meet current students and faculty, visit classes, and experience a day at Notre Dame.
- Open House is a great introduction to the academic, extracurricular, social, and athletic aspects of our unique community. The next Open House will be held on September 30, 2018.
- Our Parent Preview Morning, "Experience ND Day," offers parents an inside look into life at ND. Tour campus, observe classes in action, and participate in our weekly Community Prayer tradition.
- Campus tours and meetings with individual admissions representatives are available and scheduled by appointment.
Step 3: Take an Entrance Exam
Current eighth and fifth-graders should register and take an Entrance Exam for high school or middle school. Fall Entrance Exam dates are Saturday, October 13, 2018 (high school only) or Sunday, October 21, 2018 (high school and middle school). Notre Dame student guides are also available on testing days for parent tours. The Entrance Exam fee is $40.
Practice Exams for middle and high school will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018.
Step 4: Apply
All prospective families must submit an application form (there is no fee to apply to Notre Dame). After a form for each child is submitted, there are grade-specific items required in order to complete each application in full. Applications are not complete unless all materials are submitted.
Step 5: Revisit & Enroll
Admitted students are always encouraged to come back to campus and deepen their connection to ND. Whether you think you would benefit from another shadow day or plan to attend a special event, our goal is to give you the information and experiences you need to make your decision.
