Mind, Body, and Spirit
In January of 2019, the Alumnae Office introduced the new Mind, Body, and Spirit Initiative with the Community. The primary goal of this initiative is to be intentional about the programming offered, so that it is meaningful, brings value to Alumnae, enhances the mind, body, and spirit, and supports the Mission and Hallmarks that Notre Dame was founded upon.
The Mind - we are delighted to offer unique and intellectually stimulating opportunities. The first program we offered was the Young Alumnae Museum Highlights Tour. Current faculty member and English and Arts Department Chair, Dr. Califf, led a small group tour at The Philadelphia Museum of Art on Friday, March 22, 2019. We are looking forward to building on this experience and continuing to offer similar events throughout the region.
The Body - we are excited to offer a wellness opportunity for Alumnae to connect. Alumnae Executive Board Member, Kristen McNeill '11, will be teaching a private class at barre3 Rittenhouse that incorporates both barre and meditation. The class will be offered June 13, 2019 and it is exclusive to Notre Dame Alumnae.
The Spirit - we will be offering the opportunity for Alumnae to connect spiritually and through meaningful service projects. At our recent Alumnae Association meeting in early March, faculty member, Julia Tully '08, led us in the opportunity to prepare meals and donate casseroles to the local organizations, Women of Hope and The Patrician Society.
