Full STEAM Ahead at ND

Saturday, November 18
10:00 am - 2:30 pm

Your middle school daughter is invited for a free, fun-filled day of science-related activities at our annual STEAM day. This year, we are proud to partner with Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Drexel University, and the IceCube Neutrino Observatory to bring real-world science challenges to Notre Dame. IceCube is the first particle detector of its kind, designed to observe the cosmos from deep within the South Pole ice. During the day, students will participate in a series of science rotations that include:

  • Tower Challenge: Explore the Design of Tall Structures
  • Dance It Out: The Math and Science of Dance
  • Design Challenge: Launch a Pumpkin
  • Chemistry Magic: Colorful Chemistry Reactions
  • What's for Dinner: Owl Pellet Dissection
  • Slimeapalooza: Create colorful slime
  • IceCube: Particle Astrophysics

Online registration for Full STEAM Ahead has closed. Please contact Kim Eife, Academic Dean, with any questions about the event.
