Concussion Protocol

With concussions in student athletes becoming more and more of a concern, the Academy of Notre Dame has established a protocol that outlines procedures to be followed in managing head injuries to ensure that athletes only return to activity when it is safe to do so. We understand the competitive nature of sports, but hold athletes’ health and safety as our top priority.

Physical Examination

All Notre Dame student athletes must have a current (within one year) physical on file with the nurse in order to participate in any sport or sports camp. All documentation submitted from medical professionals must be original documents. If a copy or fax is submitted, then the original must be submitted within a week.

Fitness Center

All Notre Dame students must have a fitness center form on file in the Physical Education Department in order to use the fitness center.

Sportsmanship Code

The goal of the Inter Academic League Sportsmanship Code is to insure respect among participants, coaches, parents, other spectators and officials at all League contests.
