Head Varsity Field Hockey Coach Adele Williams states, “This is the highest number of Division I signees in any graduating class that I have ever coached. These four girls are passionate and driven; they have majorly contributed to the success of the program over their career.”  The four seniors have helped lead Notre Dame to two InterAc titles (2012 & 2013) and two PAISAA titles (2011 & 2013).

Kirsten Mansfield, heading to Northwestern University to compete in the Big 10 Conference, served as the team’s co-captain this season and earned second team All-InterAc, All-Delco and All-Main Line as a defender.

Danielle Bunten & Taylor Leonhardt will remain teammates, as the two will play in the Atlantic 10 conference and stay close to home in Philadelphia at St. Joseph’s University. Danielle earned second team All-InterAc and All-Main Line this season as a defender. Taylor tore her ACL in her senior year and did not get to complete her season, although she was named First Team All-InterAc in her junior year as a midfielder/forward.

Sophie Graeff will head to New York to attend Cornell University and compete in the Ivy League. The midfielder earned Second Team All-InterAc and Main-Line in her senior year.

The Notre Dame community is extremely proud of these four student athletes, and wish them the best of luck as they move on to play at the next level”.   stated Athletic Director Peg Desendorf.
