Parents' Association Mothers' Advent Retreat

Thursday, November 21, 2019
8:30 am-1:00 pm
The Mansion

We are so in need of the comfort, strength and wisdom that can only come from God through prayer. Yet, perhaps we are uncertain or unaware of how to approach God in prayer. Our presenter Kristi Bushner, MA, JD, will refer to the magnificent teaching of the Doctors of the Church, and will explore the classic expressions of prayer in the Catholic tradition with practical “how to” advice. We will also deepen our understanding of key motives for prayer and will include advice in overcoming the common obstacles we all face in maintaining a consistent life of prayer.

The morning will begin at 8:30 am with Mass in the chapel, and conclude with a luncheon at 12:00 pm after the presentation and discussion.

This event is open to everyone. Please feel free to invite other mothers who would be interested in deepening their prayer life, enjoying fellowship, and growing in faith. If you are unable to attend the entire morning, you are more than welcome to join us for any part of the day. If you have any questions please contact Leigh Lignowski at leighaal70@aol.com.

Please sign up via the online form below by Monday, November 18. The cost per person is $25.
