April 16, 2021 Middle School Symposium with The Study, Montréal Yesterday and today, our entire Middle School participated in the All-Girls' Virtual Leadership Symposium with our sister school in Montréal, The Study. The theme of the Symposium was "Spark! Together Let's Light Up a Brighter Future! (Ensemble vers un avenir plus brillant)" and focused on inspiring our young women to be stewards of the environment and take action. The 2-day event featured four speakers, workshops and spirit activities. It was a wonderful, collaborative international learning experience!

ND Spring Sports Update We've had a busy week of athletic events! The crew team kicked off the week with their first competition in over two years at the first of the Manny Flick regattas on the Schuylkill River last Sunday. They will be out again this Sunday for the second in the series, and hopefully the weather will be a little kinder to them. Good luck to all.
The Upper School golf team started their season with two wins over Baldwin and Episcopal Academy and completed a 3 out of 3 win week with their Thursday victory over Springside Chestnut Hill, 229-235. Great job to our golf team.
The lacrosse team was on the wrong end of a one-goal loss to Germantown Academy, falling short with a final score of 15-16. They meet formidable opponent Penn Charter at home today at 3:30 p.m. Prior to face-off, we will honor our seniors athletes, Hanna Bodner, Dani Falcone, Catherine Leary, Megan McNeill and Quinn Sullivan, along with their senior managers Izzy Casale, Ella Donohue and Cat Lanzalotto.
Our track team began their season with a rainy afternoon meet against Agnes Irwin. Our team gave some strong performances as they prepare for the weeks ahead.
Our Middle School programs also started this week, with lacrosse, track, golf and crew all kicking off their workouts. It was great to see over half our Middle School student body participate in our athletic programs this spring.
Attention Senior Athletes and Parents: Please Save the Date for our Senior Recognition Ceremony, Wednesday, June 2 at 6 p.m., Aimee Willard Gym. Celebrating Arab American Heritage Month As we continue to celebrate Arab American Heritage Month, we invite students and employees to visit the Connelly Library, where you will find a magnificent display of traditional Palestinian culture. We are so grateful for Ghada Ayoubour, a member of our ND community, who so graciously created this display from her personal collection. The items will be in the Connelly Library until April 30, 2021.
In addition to the display itself, Ghada stars in her own walking tour and you will find a sneak peak of the full tour, which will be shared next Friday.
