As we are reminded of Jesus' 40 days in the desert, and we embark on our own Lenten journey, take time to remember where you are going. Why are you making the intentional choice to journey toward Easter? What supplies - physical or metaphorical - do you need to be successful on this journey? What unnecessary baggage are you carrying on this journey? Who do you need to forgive to help lighten your load? Ask God to give you what you need, and take time to decide what changes you need to make to your bag as you journey toward God.

Introducing "Mission Week"
Recently, Notre Dame celebrated its inaugural "Mission Week" to commemorate the legacy of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. We took time to examine the seven hallmarks of a Notre Dame Learning Community, learned about the life of St. Julie Billiart and held a special prayer service focused on the life and history of St. Julie. Students had the chance to participate in activities to thank the Sisters and learn more about their contemporary work.
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Department Presents the Taste of ND The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Department is focused on several school and community initiatives, including The Taste of ND, in which our community helps to establish and celebrate our very own Notre Dame multicultural cookbook. Do you have a recipe to contribute to the cookbook and share with the community? Contact DEI Director, Tina Williams at twilliams@ndapa.org to learn more and share your recipe!
Alumnae in the Spotlight: Celebrating Black History Month Notre Dame's month-long Black History Month celebration, led by the Department of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, culminated this week with Eryka Waller '10 leading the community in a special dance performance that you may view here!
Throughout the month of February, there were numerous events, including TedTalk Tuesdays and Talk About It Thursdays with topics such as education, medicine, health, law and entertainment, as part of the celebration and the Academy's ongoing commitment to diversity.
