Notre Dame Believes Each Student Should Be
The '25-'26 Planning & Initiatives are inspired by Hallmark One:

At the heart of our Notre Dame de Namur learning community is the conviction that God is good—always. This belief, first proclaimed by St. Julie Billiart and lived out by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, continues to guide us today. We are called not only to speak of God’s goodness but to reflect it in the way we live, honoring the dignity and worth of ourselves, one another, and the world around us.
We embrace life as a sacred journey—deepening our relationships with God, with ourselves, with others, and with all creation. Inspired by the history of the Sisters of Notre Dame and the spirituality of St. Julie, we root our decisions in Gospel values and Catholic social teaching, ensuring that our actions reflect compassion, justice, and care for all.
At Notre Dame, we joyfully celebrate the richness of our diverse and dynamic community. In preparing young women with “hearts as big as the world,” we are committed to educating not only for academic excellence but also for global citizenship, empathy, and social responsibility.
The Department of Inclusive Programs and Belonging serves as a dedicated resource for students, faculty, staff, and families, ensuring that every member of our community feels seen, heard, and valued. Through programs, initiatives, and ongoing dialogue, we foster an environment where inclusivity and belonging are not only taught but lived.
We carry forward this mission by providing intentional support. If you are free, then you need to free someone else. If you have some power, your job is to empower someone else.
We invite our alumnae, families, and friends to join us in this work of connection, leadership, and service.
Together, we strive to build a community that is transparent, compassionate, socially just, and welcoming to all—a place where every individual belongs and where the goodness of God shines through our shared commitment to one another.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Committee
At Notre Dame, we believe that a thriving community is one where every voice is heard, every story is valued, and every person belongs. Our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Committee brings together faculty, staff, parents, and trustees in a shared commitment to nurturing a culture that reflects these values. Meeting quarterly, the committee works with purpose and passion to strengthen the heart, mind, and spirit of our Notre Dame community—students and adults alike.
- Fostering belonging for all – creating a community rooted in diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect, where every individual is valued for who they are.
- Creating spaces of support – ensuring students, faculty, and staff have inclusive opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.
- Building for the future – developing policies and practices that welcome, hire, and retain individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Championing initiatives – actively promoting and supporting diversity programs and the students, faculty, and staff who lead them.
- Moving forward with purpose – planning meaningful steps that continue Notre Dame’s commitment to this essential work.
Our DEIB Committee is more than a group—it is a movement toward a more compassionate, just, and inclusive Notre Dame. Together, we are shaping a school where every member of our community knows they are seen, heard, and deeply valued.
Diversity is a fact. Equity is a choice. Inclusion is an action. Belonging is an outcome.
