Campus Ministry

This is an opportunity for all new sixth grade, ninth grade and transfer students to gather along with their families as a faith community and meet one another in a shared faith experience through liturgy.

The Opening Liturgy is the first liturgy of the year where the entire school comes together to celebrate as a community. The sixth grade receives a sunflower pin as a powerful reminder to follow God like the sun. The ninth grade receives a Saint Julie medal as a reminder of the charism of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.

The special bond between a daughter and her mother or special mother figure is recognized and blessed at this annual liturgy and picnic. Alumnae moms, aunts, grandmothers and others are also recognized on this special day. 

We welcome prospective families to Notre Dame for Open House and share our commitment to our faith together through celebration of Sunday Liturgy. 

The Junior Class gathers with their families to celebrate Mass and to receive their class rings. The class rings symbolize their unity as a class. This is also an occasion to celebrate their roles as leaders in the school community. 

The special bond between a daughter and her father or special father figure is recognized and blessed at this annual Communion Mass and breakfast.

During Advent, a weekly Mass is celebrated in the Mansion chapel before school and all members of our school community are welcome to attend. The season of Advent is a time of preparation as we await both the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas and the second coming of Jesus.

Each February, Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur return to campus to join the Notre Dame community in prayer as they gather to remember the life and charism of their Foundress, Saint Julie Billiart. During the Mass, the Sisters affirm the vows made on the day of their profession, praying, "We ask you, our good God, to keep us faithful so that we may stand with the poor in the most abandoned places, build community on earth, and proclaim your goodness all the days of our lives."

Each week during Lent, Mass is celebrated in the Mansion chapel. The 40 days of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Thursday. It is a time of fasting, abstinence, self-discipline and prayer.

Students and faculty participate in a community Reconciliation service with opportunities for individual confession each semester, and are invited to pray the Rosary during the months of October and May.
