Crew

Head Coach: Rachael Tobinus
Assistant Coach: Hannah Tobinus

Fall Season: Rowers on the US Team are expected to attend the practices as scheduled. Fall is usually 3-4 days per week at the Hines Rowing Center in Conshohocken. We participate in the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta, Navy Day Regatta, which are both in Philadelphia where the races in the fall are 5,000 meters long.

Winter Season: Rowers on the US Team are expected to attend the practices as scheduled in the winter. Winter practices are Tuesday-Friday and every other Saturday morning in North Campus. Winter prepares the rowers cardiovascularly for the spring season. We work on fitness on the ergometer, running, and body circuits. We open winter training up to those spring sport athletes looking for conditioning to prepare them for their respective spring sport.

Spring Season: Spring season is the "Championship Season." This is the more demanding of the seasons and shows the culmination of the work that the rowers have put in during the fall and winter. We practice Tuesday-Friday after school and Saturday mornings all season. We participate in all 5 Philly Flick Regattas, City Championships and potentially the Scholastic Youth Rowing Nationals, as well as hopefully the US Rowing Youth Nationals (both are dependent on qualification status).

Summer Programming: This is TBD and will be communicated to those signed up on the fall roster for the coming 2023-2024 season. Please reach out to Coach Rachael Tobinus at rtobinus@ndapa.org with any questions.
