Fall Offerings: MS Crew can experience "Discovery Days" in the fall. These are weekend mornings for the first 4 weeks of the Upper School Season. This is an opportunity for athletes to see the boathouse, get in a boat, and get a small feel for what we do at ND Rowing!

Winter Offerings: Ms Crew will be able to experience the winter training aspect with the Upper School Team. They will participate 2-3 times per week with the Upper School in erging, running, and body circuits. This gives the MS the opportunity to understand a little about the physical demands of rowing, as well as how to train for the sport. We focus on technique as well as endurance.

Spring Offerings: There are no spring offerings for the MS. The US Spring season is Rowing's "Championship Season". It is very demanding, and does not allow for the appropriate time to devote to teaching novice MS students.

Additionally due to US Rowing and PSRA rules, 8th graders may not compete on the US team. In both organizations, a student athlete is only allotted 4 years of competition at the High School level. Starting in the 8th grade would jeopardize the athletes' eligibility their senior year.

Summer Offerings: There is a Learn To Row Summer camp every year during the summer. This year it is June 19-24th. Incoming 9th graders are strongly encouraged to attend! We also accept 6 and 7th graders in the program.

Please reach out to rtobinus@ndapa.org if you have any questions.
