2020 Graduation Ceremonies

As the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur complies with the health and safety guidance of the CDC and the State of Pennsylvania regarding social distancing, our community came together virtually to celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2020 and our graduating eighth grade. students.

Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation

On Saturday, May 30, the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur celebrated the 99 strong, resilient women of the Class of 2020 with a virtual Baccalaureate Mass, Commencement, and Alumnae Induction Ceremony. 

The ceremony united the Notre Dame Community in prayer and thanksgiving with Mass, reflections by students, recognition of graduates and award recipients, conferral of diplomas, and an address by distinguished alumna, Kristen Santerian ’08, Vice President, Chief of Staff, Global Head of ETF and Index Investments for the financial planning and investment management firm, BlackRock. Following Commencement, the new graduates were welcomed in a special way to Notre Dame's Alumnae Association.

Representing the Class of 2020 at Graduation were Cecilia Quirk, Valedictorian; Lauren Gunn, Salutatorian; and Catherine Crowe; Mistress of Ceremonies.

An in-person celebration of the Class of 2020 will be scheduled when it is safe to gather together.
