Academy of Notre Dame de Namur: Inspiring Young Women Since 1956

Strategic Plan 2015 - 2020

Since 1856, the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur has educated, empowered, and inspired young women for a lifetime of compassionate leadership and service, guided by our Catholic faith and an abiding trust in the goodness of God.

Throughout the world, Notre Dame graduates are leading and contributing in medicine, law, art, science, education, and business – setting the standard for social responsibility by their lives and actions. They are our inspiration.

In the fall of 2014, the Academy initiated a collaborative, comprehensive strategic planning process community to develop a “road map” that would give direction to Notre Dame’s future and ensure that our students would receive a state-of-the-art education in a dynamic environment that continues to nurture creativity and inspire learning.

The document developed by our community which we call OUR TIME to INSPIRE, presents a bold vision for 2015-2020. It is rooted in the great tradition of the Academy and celebrates both our vibrant Catholic mission and the pioneering legacy of the Sisters of the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur.

As part of this strategic vision, the Academy developed a Campus Master Plan, which was approved by the Board of Trustees during the 2015-2016 school year. This plan presents a contemporary, flexible learning space which promotes our deep commitment to community and adds new facilities for STEM education, for liturgy and the performing arts, and for student activities and resources.

OUR TIME to INSPIRE offers us the opportunity to shape a future of promise and new possibilities, always trusting in the goodness of God.
