Dear Members of the Notre Dame Community,
Thank you for your ongoing support in these days of transition. It is abundantly clear that Notre Dame should now "seize the moment" and transition to a complete online learning environment for the foreseeable future, effective Monday, March 16, 2020.
We are well prepared for this transition. Throughout these years, Notre Dame has created a technologically sophisticated learning environment with enhanced mobility features. Below please find links to high-level directives for our students and parents.
As you know, tomorrow is a noon dismissal for our students and they will be asked to take home needed materials that will be used for their classes, as directed by their teachers. Our faculty will spend the afternoon continuing its ongoing efforts to prepare for online instruction that maintains the quality of academic excellence for which Notre Dame is so well known.
As we move to this complete online learning environment, we shall also close the campus on Monday, March 16, and cancel all events that are scheduled for the month of March. This includes the Father/Daughter Dance and the Kairos retreat. It also includes all sporting events and any other activities directly involving our students.
I shall be sharing periodic updates with you throughout the days ahead. Should you have additional questions concerning this transition, please contact the following individuals:
Mrs. Kim Burke (Director of Upper School) email@example.com
Mrs. Bridget Bonner (Director of Middle School) firstname.lastname@example.org
Mr. Tyler Gaspich (Director of Information Resources and Technologies) – email@example.com
Together, we move into this new opportunity for our teaching/learning community. The Academy of Notre Dame de Namur has provided an outstanding educational experience since 1856. These days and months ahead—in an online environment—will continue that fine tradition.
