Announcing Our New Director of Institutional Advancement, Peggy Kacergis

After an extensive search, the Academy of Notre Dame has selected Mrs. Margaret (Peggy) Kacergis to serve as our new Director of Institutional Advancement. In this role, Kacergis will oversee all of Notre Dame’s Development and Alumnae Relations efforts.

Kacergis received a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago, Booth Graduate School of Business. Kacergis comes to Notre Dame from Haverford College, where she held a number of development roles in her 10-year tenure. In her most recent position as Director of Leadership Giving and Assistant Campaign Director, she oversaw the strategy, management, and execution of the leadership gifts program, and during her tenure, Kacergis and her team were responsible for a 34% increase in annual growth in parent giving. Kacergis also served as Science Department Chairperson and Instructor for Physics and Environmental Science at the Country Day School of the Sacred Heart.

Kacergis shares, "I feel honored and blessed for the opportunity to join the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur. I look forward to working with the Notre Dame community to strengthen the enduring legacy of the Academy."

I look forward to having her expertise on our Leadership Team and am confident she will grow our Institutional Advancement efforts in myriad ways. Please join us in welcoming Peggy to Notre Dame when she begins her tenure on November 29.
