Head of School Dr. Laura Hotchkiss announced to the Notre Dame community that Ambassador Nina Fite '75 will give the Commencement Address on June 4, 2022.
"I am excited to share with you that Ambassador Fite will be our Commencement Speaker," Hotchkiss shared. "Fite, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, is the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Angola. She also served as the U.S. Consul General in Montreal, Canada and in Lahore, Pakistan. In addition to her many posts and degrees, Ambassador Fite speaks Portuguese, French, Hungarian, and Spanish. Her experiences are fascinating! She looks forward to joining you on your special day and offering her words of wisdom as a Notre Dame alumna and member of the Senior Foreign Service."
Fite completed a Bachelor of Architecture at Carnegie-Mellon University and received a Master’s in International Management from Thunderbird – The American Graduate School of International Management and an MS in National Resource Strategy (Distinguished Graduate) at the National Defense University’s Eisenhower School in June 2011.
Notre Dame looks forward to welcoming Ambassador Fite back to campus and to celebrating the Class of 2022!
