Notre Dame Students Shine at Yale Model United Nations Conference

Notre Dame Students Shine at Yale Model United Nations Conference
Abigail Merola

Forty-three Model United Nations delegates from the Academy of Notre Dame traveled to New Haven, Connecticut to participate in the prestigious Yale Model United Nations Conference, hosted annually on Yale University’s campus. Now in its 52nd year, YMUN is one of the world’s most respected high school Model UN conferences, bringing together nearly 1,800 students from around the globe for four days of diplomacy, debate, and collaboration.

ND students engaged in a variety of committees addressing both real-world and creative topics, from Women’s Access to Political Leadership to the imaginative “Bubble-Blowing” Uprising Crisis in Bikini Bottom. Delegates stepped into the roles of international leaders, strengthening their skills in research, negotiation, public speaking, and resolution writing while working aside peers from diverse backgrounds.

Beyond committee sessions, students explored Yale’s historic campus through tours, expert lectures, and performing arts showcases, gaining insight into collegiate academic life. From start to finish, the Yale Model United Nations Conference provided an impactful and educational experience that inspired Notre Dame students to grow as confident global citizens. We are so proud of our girls for representing the Academy of Notre Dame with leadership, confidence, and enthusiasm.
