ND Welcomes New Faculty & Staff for 2024-2025 Academic Year
Edward Adlington - Arts Department
Mr. Edward Adlington will bring a wealth of experience as an art teacher, both in the US and in the UK, to Notre Dame when he joins our community at the end of August. Mr. Adlington is coming to ND most recently from Wayne Art Center, where he served as Art Teacher for students ages 6-18. He also spent over four years as an Associate Lower School Teacher at The Episcopal Academy, and taught at several schools in the UK. He received is BA in Fine Art Painting at City & Guilds of London Art School and received his MA in Printmaking from Camberwell College of Arts, both in London, UK.
Matthew Buonomo - Math Department
Mr. Matthew Buonomo will be joining the Mathematics Department at ND this fall. He holds a BS in Mathematics from Villanova University and is joining us from his previous role at Pope John Paul II High School where he taught Algebra and Geometry. Mr. Buonomo is also a volunteer firefighter in Warwick, PA.
Nicholas Burbo - Arts Department
Mr. Burbo has hit the ground running as our new general music, liturgical music, and musical theatre teacher, working with students via Mean Girls auditions and several other activities. Mr. Burbo is a recent graduate of West Chester University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Music Education. He has considerable music teaching, directing, and theatre experience at organizations throughout the Philadelphia area, including SALT Performing Arts, Lima United Methodist Church, Stagelight Performing Arts, WCStudio for the Performing Arts, and Wells School of Music. He is also a member of the American Guild of Organists, National Association for Music Education, PA Music Educators Association, American Chorale Directors Association, and more.
Aaron DiFerdinando - Math Department
Notre Dame welcomes Mr. Aaron Diferdinado to the ND Mathematics Department. Mr. Diferdinado received his BS in Secondary Mathematics Education from West Chester University and his MS in Applied Statistics from Villanova University. He is joining ND from Villanova University, where he spent the last few years as an Adjunct and Visiting Instructor in the Mathematics and Statistics Department.
Jay Lindblad - Technology Specialist
Mr. Jay Lindblad joined Notre Dame’s Tech Department as the Technology Specialist. Mr. Lindblad received his BS in Marketing from West Chester University. Since 2018, Mr. Lindblad has been working with Active Image Media serving as a videographer, livestream technician, and providing IT support.
Maureen Murray - Librarian
Ms. Maureen Murray will begin her tenure as our School Librarian this August. She received her MA in Liberal Studies from Villanova University and is currently working towards her ALA-accredited Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Alabama. Ms. Murray also has her BA in Linguistics from Swarthmore College. She is joining the ND community from her previous role as Community Education Supervisor at Laurel House.
Gail Sutton - English Department
Notre Dame welcomes Ms. Gail Sutton to Notre Dame’s English Department for the upcoming school year. Ms. Sutton received her MEd from Chestnut Hill College and her BA in English from Old Dominion University. She comes to Notre Dame with over 10 years of experience teaching at several different schools in the greater Philadelphia area, most recently from Maritime Academy Charter High School in Philadelphia, where she served as an English teacher for the last three years.
Jessica Turner - Arts Department
Notre Dame is delighted to welcome back Jessica Turner. A 2006 graduate of Notre Dame and a magna cum laude graduate of Drexel University in 2010, Jessica is an accomplished artist specializing in mixed media, traditional art, and paper cutouts, as well as a designer of jewelry and home decor. After serving as a long-term substitute in the Art Department last fall, we are pleased to announce that she will be returning to teach middle school art classes and assist the Admissions team with fall events.
Jacqueline Cattie - Religion Department & Campus Ministry Assistant
Ms. Cattie will be joining the Religion Department this fall coming to ND from SS. Cyril and Philomena. Ms. Cattie received her BA in Theatre and History from Saint Mary's College as well as her Secondary Education Certificate from Immaculata University. This school year Ms. Cattie will also be assisting Ms. Tully in the Campus Ministry Department.
Stephanie Reed - Science Department
Ms. Reed comes to ND from Science Leadership Academy at Beeber in the School District of Philadelphia where she was a Biology, Health, and Chemistry teacher and a founding member of the Biology Department. Ms. Reed received her BS in Biology from the University of Michigan and her MEd from Cabrini College as well as her MS in Nutrition Education from American University.
