The Academy of Notre Dame de Namur girls’ field hockey team captured the PAISAA championship in an intense showdown against Episcopal Academy on November 11, winning 1-0. The Irish showcased resilience, determination, and exceptional teamwork throughout the season and in the championship game.
Throughout the year, the team’s commitment to each other set the tone for their success. Their collective focus, discipline, and competitive drive were evident in every practice and every matchup. Supported by Head Coach Brandi Ritz and the Notre Dame Athletics Department, the student-athletes continually elevated their game and true Notre Dame pride.
Further highlighting the team’s exceptional season, numerous athletes earned All-Inter-Ac honors. First Team selections included Kiera Sack, Maura Seeger, Camilla Lutte, Maeve McGinley, and Reese Milone, while Carina Demchyk and Lexy Patton were recognized on the Second Team. These individuals’ achievements reflect the outstanding skill, leadership, and consistency found across the roster.
This season, the team also earned the distinction of being ranked #1 in the country, highlighting just how dominant and well-coached the Irish have been. Congratulations to the players, Coach Ritz, the Athletics Department and everyone who supported them throughout this incredible season!
