Abigail Merola
We’re proud to launch a new tradition that celebrates the voices, achievements, and journeys of our Notre Dame students. We’re excited to share their stories and the lasting impact they’ve made on our school community. Leading off our spotlight series is Senior Alayna O.
Alayna has been deeply involved across campus as Student Council President, a member of Hope Walks Club, and a three-sport athlete in lacrosse, track, and cross country. Her leadership and commitment both in and out of the classroom reflect a strong dedication to her school community.
She is especially proud of her work leading the Student Council this year. She helped guide initiatives such as raising over $3,000 on Denim Day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness and organizing ND’s first-ever powder puff game. These events brought the community together in meaningful and memorable ways.
This fall, Alayna will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to study Biomedical Engineering, continuing her journey of leadership and service beyond Notre Dame.
