Peg Desendorf
Director of Athletics

Peg was appointed Athletic Director in July 2011, following three years as Assistant Athletic Director. Prior to joining the Academy of Notre Dame, Peg was Assistant Athletic Director at Ursuline Academy in Wilmington, Delaware, where she also coached basketball and field hockey at both the high school and middle school levels. Prior to that, Peg worked for the YMCA of the Brandywine Valley organization as well as the YMCA of Delaware as Senior Athletic Director. Peg played Division 1 college softball for West Chester University where she was a four year starter and she was also a nationally-ranked Division 1 badminton player and is a member of the West Chester University Athletic Hall of Fame. Peg has a BS Degree from West Chester in Health & Physical Education.

Jen Carlo
Assistant Athletic Director

Jen was appointed to the Academy of Notre Dame in August 2011. She is the Junior School athletic program coordinator; additionally, she coaches High School JV Soccer and Junior School Varsity Basketball and Softball. Jen previously served as the Assistant Athletic Director at Wooster School in Danbury, CT where she coached Varsity Soccer and Softball. Prior to that, she worked as the Assistant General Manager for a women's professional softball team for three years. Jen played Division I college softball at Rutgers University where she majored in Exercise Science. She earned her M.Ed. in Sport Administration in 2008 from Temple University. She is also a member of the Clifton High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Mary Cryan
Athletics Staff

Mary was appointed to the Academy of Notre Dame in September 2012. She is a part-time staff member in the Athletic Department and also coaches Junior School JV soccer, Junior School JV basketball, and High School JV lacrosse. Mary previously worked at Westonbirt School in Gloucestershire, England as the Head of Lacrosse for two years. She played Division 1 college lacrosse at Rutgers University where she majored in Sports Management. Prior to that, she attended Radnor High School and played soccer, basketball, and lacrosse.

Karen Fox
Certified Athletic Trainer

Karen was appointed the Athletic Trainer at Notre Dame in 2009. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training in 2005 from East Stroudsburg University and her Master’s in Exercise Physiology from the University of Delaware in 2007. At Delaware, she worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer from 2005 to 2007 with Division I athletes. Since, she has worked with many schools and organizations such as: AAU Girls Basketball, Country Day School of the Sacred Heart, the Kirkwood Soccer Club, and Mount Pleasant High School. Karen has worked for PRO, an ATI Physical Therapy Company, since 2007.
