The Connelly Library, named for a generous gift from the Connelly Foundation, was designed as an “Information Commons,” a flexible and functional simultaneous-use facility where students, faculty and staff gather and collaborate within the context of academic research, using the latest tools of information retrieval, storage and presentation.
The 5,000 square foot main library room contains comfortable seating areas, tables to accommodate classes and student research, a large circulation desk and stacks filled with over 7500 volumes. Courtesy of grants from the Hamilton Family Foundation and The Benedict Foundation for Independent Schools, a computer lab with 24 individual student work stations is available for class use. Additional spaces house a large group work room and offices for the librarians.
