In 1926, the property was sold to Philadelphia utility magnate Clarence Geist and renovated by noted architect Dr. Paul Philippe Cret. Sisters of Notre Dame and students arrived at the Mansion in 1944 and since that time, the Mansion is a much-loved symbol of the Academy.
