High School
Winter 2009

• Indoor Track captured 2nd in the PA State Championships held at Penn State. This is a huge accomplishment, as this meet includes all public, private, and parochial schools in the state. Ayanna Fields placed 2nd in the 400, Maura McKendrick placed 3rd in the 200. The 4 x 400 relay took 3rd, and the 4 x 200 took 6th. Freshman Maria Seykora took 10th in the mile and the 2 mile. Anne Kelly took 11th in the hurdles.
• Basketball finished 2nd in the Interac and 2nd in the PA State Independent School Championship with a record of 24-7. They are currently ranked in the top 10 in Southeast Pennsylvania as reported by the Inquirer.
• Swimming finished 5th in the Interac with senior Leslie Tatlow leading the way.

Fall 2008

• Field Hockey tied for the Interac Championship and finished with a record of 19-1-1. They have been first or tied for first in league play 5 out of the last 7 seasons. They finished ranked #1 in Delaware County, and finished ranked 5th in Southeast Pennsylvania as reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer. Junior Meghan McCullough has been named the 2008 Delaware County Field Hockey Player of the Year. Our field hockey program year after year has consistently been at the top of the heap in this region.
• Cross Country had our best season to date. Freshman Maria Seykora took the state title. They placed third in the Delco Championships (narrowly missing 2nd) in a talent packed Delaware County, defeating Catholic League powerhouse O’Hara along the way. Despite losing outstanding sophomore Julianne Garvey with a season ending injury, this team was nothing short of amazing meet after meet. They are young and THEY WILL BE BACK!
• Cross Country won their 4th consecutive Interact League Championship. Notre Dame runners got 5 out of the top 8 places:

• Soccer had second consecutive outstanding season finished 14-4-2. They finished third in the Interac by a very narrow margin. In non- league play they defeated Southeast Pennsylvania ranked Little Flower.
• Volleyball finished 14-6, their best season in eight years! They play an independent schedule, and consistently take on the top teams in the region including Catholic League powerhouses Carroll and O’Hara.
• Tennis faced very stiff Interac competition. Several of our players had some great individual performances. They are in a rebuilding phase and look forward to improving with our young players having gained experience in the extremely competitive Interac.

Spring 2008

• Lacrosse finished 15-6 under 1st year coach Brooke Crawford Record, defeating GA for the first time in 13 years.
• Kelly McCallion was named a First Team All American by US Lacrosse.
• Softball finished 2nd in the Interac.
• Track finished 2nd in the Interac under 1st year coach Jenn Messner '99 and won the PA Independent School State Championship.
• Golf finished 2nd in the Interac.

Junior School 2008

• Junior school soccer, field hockey and tennis had busy, successful seasons.
• Junior School Basketball won the Catholic Academy League Championship for the 2nd year in a row with a record of 20-1.
• Junior School Swimming finished with a record of 3-1-1.
