Varsity Basketball 2008-09

Strengths: Notre Dame has lots of speed and athleticism

Question Marks: Lack of size

Outlook: Notre Dame enters the season with an extremely tough schedule that features Catholic League powers Archbishop Carroll, Cardinal O'Hara, and Archbishop Wood along with AACA power Villa Maria and national powers Seton Keough, Peddie School and fellow Inter-Ac foe Germantown Academy, with whom the Irish should battle for the league crown.

2007-08 Season Highlights

  • Devon Kane'09 verbally committed to Villanova University to play basketball.  She was awarded a FULL scholarship.  She will sign her letter of intent in early November.
  • Ranked in the Top 15 in Southeastern PA
  • Ranked 3rd in Delco
  • 2nd PA State Independent School Championship
  • The Junior Varsity Basketball team finished 17-7 and tied for First Place in the InterAc League.
  • Varsity team won the Billy Lake Memorial Tournament by defeating West Catholic. Breanna Ockimey was named to the All tournament team and Katie Kuester was named MVP.
