The Health club is a group of interested students who bring health-related topics to the school community.

Michelle Gavan was submitted into the Health Careers contest sponsored by the Delaware County Workforce who runs Health Careers week every year in November. The topic for the contest was "Students who make a difference in the Health Career industry”. Michelle won Honorable Mention and will be honored at the Delaware County Council meeting on November 18 at the courthouse in Media. Read more about Michelle's service and contributions.

The Club invited speakers for an assembly on Self Defense. The health club assembly was titled “Self Defense for Young Women”. Our speakers were Nichet Sykes, Educational Director for Women Organized Against Rape, Retired Philadelphia Police Officer, Michael Gallagher, Liz & John Durning, certified self defense instructors and owners of Durning Karate.

The assembly’s goal was to educate and empower the students to be aware of their surroundings, have boundaries with strangers and teach simple techniques to use in the event of an attack.
